The Manhattan weekend with Kali was lovely, though bitterly cold. I bought two retro-style skirts from French Connection and Kali scored gorgeous shoes from Peter Fox, which they will be dying black for her. We also had a lovely birthday dinner at the Candle Cafe on the Upper East Side. However, with the awful cold, it was hard to get motivated to dress up to go out for late night activities, so we opted not to. Next time, we plan to stay in Chelsea, so we can be closer to all the fun, low-class dive bars that we prefer. Kali also gifted me with some lovely erotic lit, because she is someone who understands the value of a girl having a quality smut collection.
